Hi! I have tried many forums and archives, but the schema of this version probably does not exist. It’s similar to Black Finger, but not the same.
I have one SP to repair, unfortunately somebody has exchanged some parts and some parts are missing.
I’ll have to draw the schema and find the parameters from the missing parts from another SP.

Over the last few weeks I’ve been researching about the mosrite fuzzrite. I’m interested in learning how to identify a version 1 germanium fuzzrite by looking at the circuitry – specifically by looking at the transistors (germanium)
I happened upon your page while trying to find out what these transistors look like, and I seems as though you might know a thing or two about this. So, I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions
From what I understand the version 1 germanium fuzzrite used the RCA 2N408 and the RCA 2N613. Is this correct?
Is this the best way to identify a germanium v1 fuzzrite? By looking at the transistors?
Do you know what these transistors look like?
I would greatly appreciate anything you could tell me about this.
Hi there! Thanks for visiting my page.. as a matter of fact i just finished building a germanium Fuzzrite just a week ago for emerging altrock band, The Spacepony. To reply your question: yes, to identify the first version you will have to look at how the components are arranged on the tagboard and the transistors. I have a bunch of original RCA 2613 (q1) and RCA408 (q2).. they are metal can transistors.. i suspect the silicon version may have those plastic mold transistors.. there is also another revision of the silicon version that had the circuit built into a sealed plastic capsule. To make the reply more complete, i will post the tagboard so you can see for yourself how the original was laid out. If you have any more questions..

Remember v2 to v3 relate to the silicon Fuzzrites.
Yes the layout of the germanium vary, and accordingly the components do too.

Can i ask you two questions, both about shin ei fy2 clone? Which schematich did you use? And second is, where were you found C536 transistor? Are they original, i think japanese transistors from 70s? Or you use 2NC536.

i saw you found these roland tb-303 DIN connector TCS 0727-01-010, this part is nowhere to be found and you must be the only one who got some. i’m searching the internet from many years about this part. The only picture i can find is from your blog. So i was wondering if you can tell me where i can find it or if you would be ok to sell me one? Thank you have a nice day
Hi Gerome.. i got them years ago from a local electronic component shop.. they told me they thought they were Sanyo replacement parts-mind you Sanyo sourced electronic components to Roland in the 80s so they are likely right. Unfortunately the batch i got from them were their whole stock-no more available. I sold most of them at a symbolic price to the folks at the RE303 forum that showed interest in the part, and now i have only a couple left for me that i will not sell. As i stated before, if any of these should surface from the electronics shop, i will let people have them at a symbolic price again-i will post on the RE303 forum again. Never say never, Gerome. Today i went to the electronic shop again and i noticed they are moving their stock around (they gave me a box featuring many vintage caps and ICs!) so hopefully something rare will eventually surface again?

I used C536 transistors i salvaged from a japanese hifi amplifier.. if i am not mistaken. But you can build it using 2N5088-they sound the same.
